Ice Skating '09

That would be me! TRYING to lace up my ice skate! Which by the way is incredibly difficult to do, it's most certainly not like putting on a shoe, or even a roller skate..much harder.. but again not nearly as hard as actually ICE SKATING! I would post a picture of me trying to Ice Skate but it's so pitiful, someone observing me "trying" and I stress "trying" to ice skate would likely compare it to a new born deer only minutes old trying to stand up on it's shaky, flimsy baby legs, only I'm certain that the baby deer looked much more graceful then me on Ice Skates!

I realized less than five minutes on the ice that the rail was without a doubt my friend so I clung to the rail nearly the entire time, on occasion I would get a burst of confidence and venture out in to the middle of the ice skating rink only to be yelled out by small children to get out of their way and that I was most certainly going to fall. One little boy maybe 8 or 9 years old told me, that on a scale of 1-10 I was a negative 1 when it came to ice skating, at that point I retired the ice skates and returned my cold, and slightly damp feet into my ugly, yet warm fury boots.

Needless to say don't look for me in the winter Olympics anytime soon, unless of course there is a snow tubing category in that case count me in, I can ride an over sized inter tube down a snowy slope like a PRO! HAHA

The First Snow..and Christmas shopping!

Ah yes the first snow of the season! I have to say waking up Saturday morning to a winter wonderland outside my window was more than a pleasant surprise. Call me an optimist but snow makes me feel ...more Christmas-ie... Ok so Christmas-ie is not a real word but you catch my drift!

I immediately decided upon seeing the snow that I needed to go Christmas shopping but first things first I've got to make a Christmas list, who ALL do I need to buy for and WHAT do I want to buy them. Oh what a task! There's the parent's; what do you buy your parents..who have everything known to man. Then there's my two older brothers and their slew if children.. There's the best friend..the boyfriend... there's co-workers.. or at least my co-host.. there's cousins and my cousins kids, at what point do you draw the line. What's proper? Who are you "suppose" to buy a Christmas presents for...

I need advice.. who do you buy for?..and better yet...What do you buy them?

UGH

Needless to say I'm still making my Christmas list..why is it still growing yet my paycheck is NOT! Maybe I'll just slide a few of those names on to the naughty list *wink* *wink*
